Event Details

Join us for an evening of celebrating the San Gabriel Mountains!

The San Gabriel Mountain Range is a precious resource that provides drinking water to LA, hundreds of thousands of acres of habitat for vulnerable wildlife, and recreational access for millions of Angelenos.

There is cause for celebration - the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument was recently expanded, protecting 100,000+ acres of natural resources, wildlife habitat, cultural sites, and recreational access! Simultaneously, Southern steelhead, (Southern California's only anadromous salmonid) were listed as endangered under the California Endangered Species Act, moving forward protections for these iconic fish. Join local organizations for an evening of shared learning, games, and community.

We’ll be joined by local organizations LA Nature for All, the Arroyo Seco Foundation, and California Trout who will present on their work and efforts happening to engage community in the protection and care for the precious resources that this mountain range holds!

Get the local fishing report, hear about youth and community restoration programs, and learn about the science behind streamflows.

Win prizes during trivia, meet like-minded community, and learn how to tap into the restoration efforts in your backyard!
